Mixing cultures creates a better world
Our ancient master conficius once said,”Is that after all not delightful to have a friend from afar?” It reveals indirectly the attitude that we should have whlie greeting the outside and new-born things. That is to say, we shall always keep the positive mind to accept new culture, and mix it appropriately into ours.
I firmly believe that the co-existence of two cultures is not a conflict, and the phenomenon of “culture invasion” can be properly avoided. Let’s take an ethnic group in Chinese history, Xianbei, as an example. Xianbei was once a weak and powerless minority in Southern China, but its emperor, Xiaowendi, accepted the culture in the northern region. He asked the people in Xianbei to learn from the outside culture and had merriages with people in Northern China. With the help of this branch of civilization, the Xianbei ethnic group finally had chances to grow faster and took over Southern China. From the experience of the Xianbei people, we can learn that by studying from the foreign culture, a person, a region, and even a nation can rise in a rapid speed.
Even in the modern society, with fewer wars and less agression, the mix of different cultures is still significant.
Beijing held the 2008 Olympic Games successfully, and our family was the host family for the Olympic Games. During the period, volunteers from the US, India, Holland and Japan lived in our home. With the help of English, I introduced the unique charm and beauty of our ancient civilizations to the volunteers, and I also learned things about western art, science, history and culture from them. The mix of two cultures can be shown in this ordinary way, too, and it helps to deepen the relationship between the people in two different countries.
Nowadays, globalization seems to be an unavoidable trend. Above all, it’s better to mix the culture so that every nation and every single person can learn from each other and creat a more harmonious world.

Nowadays, there is a hotspot issue about the co-existence of the two culture. Some people say that it is good to mix cultures while others hold the idea that the culture of the a nation should keep its own features without any outside influence. As far as I am concerned, mixing culture has more advantages than keeping the features of a certain culture without any outside influence.
First and foremost, co-existence of certain cultures can make our life more colorful. Comparing with Chinese cultral life in the early 1980’s, people now have more choices than before. Children now have access to the comics from all over the world. As a result, children can learn more. Take ‘Detective KONAN’, a famous Japanese comics for example. Children can learn diverse skills to live in the society. Many Chinese children have benefited from it. Nevertheless, Chinese children in the early 1980’s only have the access of some dull Chinese comics and stories such as ‘the Journey to the West’, which I am bored with. Not only children but also adults have benefitted from foreign culture. Today, when a young man and a woman are having a date, they have many different romatic ways – going to the cenima, giving roses to each other, having a cup of coffee beside a window in the afternoon, etc.. People have broadened their visions and shaped their personalities thanks to foreign cultures. Take Forest Camp, an American block buster which has changed many people’s lives, for example. When Chinese first have the access to this movie, their lives sure change. People in failure became more optimistic about their futures. People’s cultral life become more colorful thanks to foreign cultures from the examples above.
What is more, co-existence of certain cultures can boost the exonomics. People nowadays like going to the cinema to watch the newest film which have their super stars. However, less people like going to the cenima five years ago. Why? One possible reason is that many foreign blockbusters can not be imported to
To sum up, co-existence cultures are really good for economics and life.

As for as I concerned, I strongly believe that it is good to mix cultures. If one culture keeps its own features without any outside influence ,it won’t make great progress and develop like other which mix their culture with other cultures.
No one can live in this world alone, neither can a culture. If a culture stays away from other cultures, it will only be on a book one day. Now we are in a global village, communication is very important to us. So it is to one culture, If a culture doesn’t communicate with others, it will die one day.
The master told us that we should be delightful to have a friend from far. I believe no one want to be alone in the world, everyone want to have friend, because they want to talk to others, the culture also need “Friends”, they also need to communicate with others. Qing Dynasty died because it didn’t communicate with other country, its government thought it's the strongest country in the world. Every culture is special in the world. it need to keep its own features, communicating with other cultures.
Today, culture’s talks often occur in different country, and some wars the reason of which is the difference between cultures also happen. Today, we need to talk with other cultures to made our culture stronger and stronger.
In a word, it is good to mix culture, I think.

Harmony with differences------the road of cultural development
With the economy and the society developing so fast, different kinds of culture are communicating and mixing .there are many influences of them, and also a variety of views about them. As far as I’m concerned, we should look into the topic from two sides.
On one hand, there are advantages of cultural communication. For one thing, it makes two countries learn more about each other, and the people of two countries will gain friendship. For instance, the Korean Culture Festival held last year offers an opportunity for us Chinese to gain knowledge of Korean history, customs and foods. And for another, learning the positive side of other culture will definitely help develop our own culture. According to the magazine”《TIMES》(2009),The point of Chinese cultural development is 87.19 points, higher than 2002.Chinese society hold the view that cultural communication is an important reason for the blossom of Chinese culture.
On the other hand, however, cultural communication has had effect. Developed countries are stronger not only in economy but in culture. Sometimes they may force developing countries to go with them. That seems an obstacle for cultural development. In modem Chinese society, people especially young guys, chase the fashion of the western world eagerly. Many people really worry about the culture of our homeland.
To sum up, pros and cons of culture communication have its points. In my opinion, as a member of the world, every country can not avoid cultural communication. So it’s good to have a over all attitude and proper way. Meanwhile, keeping own features is important. Creating harmony with differences in culture is the road of culture development.
